Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda on one visa, valid 90 days — Tanzania is not part of this scheme, so you would still need a separate Tanzanian visa to attend.

Currency
Tanzanian Shilling. US Dollars are welcome almost everywhere, and ATMs in Arusha dispense both.
Health
Yellow fever certificate for some countries, malaria cover recommended, bottled water throughout.
Safety
Arusha is a warm, easy city for visitors. Hotel taxis after dark, and you are set.
Swahili and English are both widely spoken, clocks run on EAT (UTC+3), sockets are Type G at 230 V, 4G covers the city with SIM cards on sale at the airport, and tipping is appreciated but never expected.
